We arrived in Douala end of our trip to Africa.
Departing from Bertoua at 6.30 this morning we crossed the east-west to Cameroon in Douala: 570 km of asphalt good except for the first 50 km of track with a little 'mud early. The bikes are dirty like never before. I wonder if we can remove all the dust that has stuck on him. Accommodation on the Procure de Mission, a house held by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit near the port. Just before he arrived to greet and ask for the keys of the room, we hugged. We were the last half of Africa. We wanted a beer to celebrate the moment and they did. Portraits baggage we threw ourselves into the water. Luke was the view of the ocean in Morocco awaiting this moment. Except that John preferred to take a shower and then the laundry, the other we have all enjoyed a relaxing swim. It is not yet true.
immediately went to his head all those we have met along the way by which we rescheduled our trip always from the tips they gave us. The hand of God has been with us took the face of so many people who have not only made, but without knowing the difficulties we have made it less tiring.
The first phone call to Sister Lucia was to Mora and then some text messages to family members to say the success of the trip. Throughout the course we realized how many people we have together, but now the heart and soul goes out to all so maybe a bit 'messy and not logical, but with a great sense of gratitude.
The bond that has developed between us has become very deep and narrow. Sharing This trip has made us familiar in all things we do and think and for this we can only say thanks to everyone and to the Lord. It was a grace and a great gift for all.
Douala of Cameroon and South Africa is very different than the extreme north where we worked. Here the abundance of water and the heat makes the overly florid and exuberant nature. Everywhere on the road are excellent with pineapple bananas and other fruits of the earth. The trees you see from the road and the trucks are very high that you face you see huge logs to imagine the height of the trees.
Thanks to Gianluca Garzino the formalities for the shipment of the bikes seem simpler, we will see tomorrow. For the moment we phoned to say that we are already there and we would deliver the bike as soon as possible. Even the Mauritius Esseviaggi told us that we must take the flight home was canceled so we should not return.
Now we enjoy the rest of Douala and the good climate that is good and right now it seems like summer to us.
I think and I embrace you all
