Thanks Mom why have you
given the tenderness of your touch,
the goodnight kiss, your smile
caring, sweet
your hand that gives me security.
You dried my tears in secret,
have encouraged my steps,
you correct my mistakes,
've protected my way,
you have raised my spirit, with wisdom and love
introduced me to life.
And while carefully watching over me
found time for the thousands of housework.
You never thought to ask for thanks.
