Knit Beanie Hat Scheme

Sorry for the delay

San Francisco, Earth.
Starfleet Academy, Cadet Accommodation

When the trill of the cadet communicator woke Ryo Hunt under him was a strange bed and around twilight and a vague but familiar sense of smell. For a moment he struggled to associate the scent of the girl lying beside him and the girl to the place where he was. Recovered memory with the same sense of annoyance with which ended the sound emitted by the electronic bedside.
"Here Hunt."
other side a woman's voice. "Ryo is Monica. Are you awake?".
"Yes." His voice thick belied the sense of that monosyllable. "What?".
"I absolutely need to tell you something."
Ryo stood up, taking care not to disturb the young woman who was still asleep beside her, crossed all the lodging and sat down at the computer monitor. I turned and suddenly there was the face of a girl in tears. His eyes were as blue as the sky, framed by a helmet of brown hair.
Ryo looked at her with sleepy eyes. He felt, for no reason, a slight sense of unease. Or why there was, and was about to find out. "Tell me, Monica."
"Yo, I told you, Ryo. I told him everything."
These words did take him as a wake-up call. He hoped for a moment that those words were nothing but a ploy, a desperate search for a reaction that was the result of the same emotion. He could not believe that girl was so unconscious.
"You said what to whom?".
"About us. A Maximum".
At that moment he saw a tear Ryo plow the woman's face and something that was moving back and that accentuates the tremor. She continued.
"You have nothing to say?".
The silence that came as a response was a little longer and much more explicit. "The only thing I can say is that you have made a big stupid, really."
"I could not go on like this anymore. I love you, Ryo. And you said you loved me ...".
"There are moments when you say many things. Some belong to reality, the other fiction. I'm sorry you did not understand who and what belonged to one another."
"Ryo, I ...".
Monica paused to take refuge in silence and tears. Immediately after the screen took over the figure of a man. He wore the uniform of Starfleet, and Ryo did not need to check the grades that exhibited on the collar to find out who it was.
"Ryo! Beautiful day, huh?".
"You know very well that it will not be."
"I hope for you. And I hope you know to try again a bit of shame to find this and other bad days to come. For a long time." The man gave
a break to stretch his uniform with a gesture of his hands.
"I wanted this little conversation just because Monica and despicable he realized what kind of man you are and for people throwing away his career."
"I do not think much good to say I'm sorry."
"I'm afraid not."
"So I do not think there's something to say."
"No, quite the contrary. There is much to say. But I'm not sure it's worth investing more time and other words in a conversation with someone like you." Ryo
closed his eyes, and yet continued to see sharp silhouetted in front of him the figure of man with whom he was speaking. Massimo Troisi, highly decorated commander of the Starfleet in the odor of promotion and it was rumored, a former leading in Section 31. Handsome, tall and strong in spite of his fifty-six.
"What ends up here just for a reason. Once you saved my life. Now I'll return the favor. We are equal." Another pause. "Do not you wish you harm. No matter what you hoped it would be very small compared to what you manage to get alone. Troisi Commodore, I close."
The screen went out and the young Ryo seemed to realize only then that part of his life was over. He had known the Commodore
Troisi little more than four years earlier when, graduate, practiced medicine in a small studio on the other side of the continent, in New York. The Commodore had been unwillingly involved in a fight scene which had as one of the bars that Ryo was usually attend. The well-informed argued that the Commodore was on a mission to search for evidence that nailed the fleet officers suspected of passing information to the maquis, and that her cover was blown. Whatever the truth, the Commodore was found with a broken leg and the femoral artery severed. Ryo, together with other men intervened to quell the riot and, while not having tools with him, took the decision to operate to stop the bleeding. The doctors who were in Starfleet by the Commodore said that without this intervention could not make it timely.
So a week later, Ryo was summoned in his office in San Francisco.
When he entered the commander raised his eyes from the d-padd she was working on and had spoken as if they had known all along.
"You were all right, boy."
Ryo had barely won the embarrassment he felt in the face of compliments every time, except for those that grew on its own.
"I try. Sometimes I succeed."
"Good. That 's what I always did too. The star fleet needs smart men like you. What if you serve on our board a starship?".
Although he had obtained while studying the pilot's license of First Instance, Ryo had never seriously considered the possibility of joining the Fleet. Yet, now that you had an opportunity to provide such a change in his life, without thinking too Ryo had accepted, and he found himself attending the academy.
Everything went well for three years, until in the life of his mentor was not entered through the front door, the young, beautiful and impulsive Monica Cooper. When the eyes of the girl were laid on him for the first time he heard Ryo immediately smell trouble.
Six months later, Monica had made a surprise in his quarters ...
Ryo threw away the memories with a sigh. Whatever he had represented for Massimo Troisi and his naive girlfriend, now belonged to the past.
Meanwhile, the legitimate owner of the accommodation as it was now rolled between the sheets trying instinctively to embrace the male body that was sure to find at his side. Not finding woke, gently rubbing his eyes still clouded with sleep.
Ryo had slowly put on his clothes, and now she was picking up his uniform and some of his stuff in a small suitcase, when he realized that the woman had gotten up and was now behind him.
"Hmm ... what time is it?"
"Go back to sleep if you want, Monica. I have just six in the morning," he smiled.
"How did you call?".
Ryo's gaze was lost under the investigator of the woman. "Er ... Miriam?"
"Miriam?! Monica?! Wake up, dear! I'm Liz, Elizabeth. Do you remember? "
" Ah ... Elizabeth! Of course! "He said mechanically, showing too much enthusiasm.
ridistese That is with a resigned sigh, resting his head on the pillow so you can still watch the guy in front of her busy closing up his small suitcase.
" The you know you're really a freak? A nice guy, sure. But weird. "He waited.
As expected had no response, then continued." I knew you had only wanted to take me to bed, I can read in his face last night. Are you going to speak no more? ".
Still no answer." Never mind ... so not either remember your name now. Ricky? "
"No. Ryo."
"And what do you already standing at six, Ryo?".
"Today begins my year of specialization. I asked for and obtained, thanks to the Commodore Troisi, to carry on board a starship with the rank of ensign. I should be the medical officer in the second. In the afternoon there is the 'boarding, and still do not know the name of the ship on which we serve. I'll go to the office to find out assignments of the Fleet. "
The girl answered with yet another sigh. Ryo meanwhile, had approached the door to the outside, opening it.
"Back to sleep well Liz, I'll be in touch very soon."
"You will not ...". He concluded that time so to give him away, giving the impression of wanting to just go back to sleep.
Hunt pursed his lips and closed the door behind him. The expected
strange new worlds, boundaries and unknown adventures.
The future was about to begin.
